Our leadership
School Executive
Titus Edge took up the headship of St Paul’s School in July 2020. He graduated in History at Newcastle University in the northeast of England and took his Post-Graduate Certificate of Education in Secondary Education at the University of Oxford.
Zeba Clarke has worked in a range of schools, teaching English, Drama and Classics in Beijing, Brussels, the United Kingdom and now São Paulo.
With more than 35 years’ experience in finance and operations in different sectors, Luciana D'Angelo joined St. Paul's as bursar in 2022.
Amy Clifford is an experienced senior leader and teacher who held positions in the UK and London before joining St Paul's in 2016 as Head of Pre-Prep. In March 2020 she became Head of Junior School.
Martina Oparaocha became our new Head of Senior School in the 2020-21 academic year.
Cristina Verona ook over the St Paul’s HR department in 2019. She has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and talent development, serving international and local companies in different sectors.
Junior School Leadership Team
Paula Monteiro is the Deputy Head of Pre-Prep School.
Victoria Hughes has been Deputy Head of Prep since 2010. She joined St Paul’s School 20 years ago as an English teacher, later becoming Head of Year in 2006.
Nathalie de Mello joined St. Paul’s in 2014 as a Science teacher in the Prep. After five years she became Assistant Head, Curriculum in the Prep.
Talula Santos joined St. Paul's School in January 2011 and has been Assistant Head Pastoral and safeguarding lead in the Prep School since 2015.
Kari Olsen joined St. Paul’s as a class teacher in 2016. She has since become learning leader for Knowledge & Understanding of the World before becoming Digital Learning Leader in the Junior School.
Senior School Leadership Team
Obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool in 1983, followed by a Doctorate in Biotechnology from Cranfield University and Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1988.
Dr Barry Hallinan has worked at St. Paul's since 1994. His teaching, administrative and leadership responsibilities have included English, Modern Foreign Languages, Portuguese as an Additional Language, and Theory of Knowledge.
Angela Fregonesi joined the Senior School in 1996. She has taught English and French here, where she has been head of department, head of year and set up the school’s first learning support unit.
Sam Bishop started at St. Paul’s in 2020 as Head of Humanities. He is now Assistant Head Sixth Form and the International Baccalaureate Coordinator.
Whole School
Lee Sutton arrived at St. Paul’s in 2019 as Director of Sport. Having led the school to several South American championships, he assumed his current role.
Dr Laura Mack, who is specialised in child and teenage development, joined the school in 2018, bringing more than ten years’ clinical practice and a commitment to prevention in mental health.
Rosie Pountain is our Learning Support Coordinator for pupils with Special Educational Needs or disabilities across the whole school.
