Over the past few weeks, Senior School pupils have been busy taking part in different Math competitions. Back in April, Prep 5s, Form 1s and Form 2s joined the UKMT Junior Mathematical Challenge. It is an online Maths contest which involves many schools around the globe. The results came out recently and we are proud to announce that St. Paul’s School got 43 medals!
The school also recently participated in OBMEP – Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática das Escolas Públicas, which is the greatest Maths competition in the country. Last year, over 18 million students participated in it! This year, we had a record number of participants from our school: more than 200 students sat the exam!
Out of the 200, 17 students were promoted to the second phase, which will take place on 8th October.
We congratulate all pupils for their achievement, as well as our Math Department for their hard work and excellent support for pupils.
