Mathematician at St. Paul’s School ‘top in the world’

One learner from St. Paul’s has received a prestigious award from Cambridge International Examinations to acknowledge his outstanding performance in the November 2016 Cambridge examination series.

Cambridge Top in the World awards recognise the success of learners who have achieved the highest standard mark in the world for a single subject. Henrique Lorente, 16, received the Top in the World award for Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (without coursework.)


Louise Simpson, Head at St. Paul’s said that the awards recognised the talent, dedication and commitment of both learners and staff. She said: “This is a very special achievement indeed for Henrique and for the maths department and we are thrilled that he has been recognised in this way.” Proud maths teacher Mike Sanderson added “I am so pleased to see Henrique’s hard work come to fruition in this way.”
