Field trips also form an integral part of the curriculum with every year group from the age of nine years old going on residential visits throughout Brazil and beyond. St. Paul’s pupils have the unique opportunity of putting their learning into practice on a variety of compulsory and elective school trips.
In the Pre-Prep, pupils enjoy outings to the local community that enhance their topic-based learning. In the Prep School, pupils visit museums, exhibitions, places linked directly to their learning, and are also given the opportunity to enjoy residential teambuilding camp experiences. In the Senior School, meanwhile, there are field trips to Paraty to study the local history and coastline, history trips to Berlin and Russia, geography trips to Boiçucanga, World Student trips to underprivileged areas of Tanzania and India, and the IB visual arts pupils enjoy interactive art experiences in Inhotim. These are just some examples; through these experiences our pupils’ learning extends well beyond the walls of the classroom, and out into the world beyond.
